Taking the Pain Out of Ear Cytology—Using In-House Diagnostics to Target Treatment of Otitis Externa
This on-demand webinar will offer 1 RACE CE credit. This lecture will review the morphology of common otic pathogens including: Malassezia, Staphylococcus, and Pseudomonas. Ear swab cytology results along with otic and full physical examination will be used as create treatment plans for canine and feline patients with both acute and chronic otitis externa. Progression of otitis externa to otitis media will be discussed along with criteria that may guide practitioners to consider advanced imaging and referral.
