Our promise, in plain language
Free should mean
free to earn the credit.
A useful directory makes the details easier to see: what you’ll learn, which credit is offered, what it costs and where the information came from.
What we include
Course access, required assessment and the certificate must be free. A free account is fine. Paid membership, purchase requirements, paid certificates and trial offers do not qualify. If a provider charges a small administrative reporting fee of up to $5, we show the exact amount separately.
The course and the provider are different records
A provider may have a large paid catalog and a small free selection. Provider profiles explain that distinction. The course count includes only individually listed activities that meet our policy and are currently available. It never includes a provider’s unverified catalog-size claim.
Credit is specific to the activity
Provider accreditation, course credit and your board’s acceptance are separate facts. We preserve the source’s credit units and professional tracks. CPA CPE does not automatically qualify as IRS CE for enrolled agents. Pharmacist and pharmacy technician tracks are not interchangeable. A course listed for an audience is not necessarily approved for every license held by that audience.
Sources you can check yourself
Each course links to its original page and carries a last-checked date. We retain evidence for free access and quantified credit. Unknown approval codes, state acceptance and expiration dates stay explicitly unknown. A successful link check alone does not establish eligibility.
What happens when information changes
We recheck course listings against their original sources. Unclear changes are held for review, and a course’s checked date only changes after its information is verified. Past live events and expired courses are removed from current search results.
Your certificate comes from the provider
We help you discover education. The original provider handles registration, attendance, assessments, credit reporting and certificates. Review its requirements and check your board’s acceptance before enrolling.
